Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated November 1, 2026
In short: some links on Compass & Table are affiliate links. If you click one and make a booking or purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This helps fund our independent, in-person research.
FTC Compliance
In accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255), we disclose any material connection between Compass & Table and the brands we link to. Disclosures appear site-wide in our header, at the top of every article, and beside each booking link.
Programs We Participate In
- Amazon Associates: As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
- Viator (a Tripadvisor company) — tours and experiences.
- GetYourGuide — tours, tickets and activities.
- Booking.com and other hotel booking partners.
- CJ (Commission Junction) network advertisers, including travel gear brands.
How Affiliate Links Work
Affiliate links contain a tracking code that lets the merchant know you came from our site. The merchant may set a cookie in your browser for a limited period. Affiliate links are marked with rel="sponsored" and labeled beneath each "Where to Stay", "Book This Tour" or gear recommendation box.
Editorial Independence
Commissions never determine what we recommend. We do not accept payment for positive coverage, and we recommend places with no affiliate program as often as those with one. If we ever accept a complimentary stay or meal, we state it clearly in the article. See our Editorial Policy.
